Heritage Meets Modern Education at Bhavans
About
Journey of Bhavan's
Kulapati Kanhaiyalal Maneklal Munshi founded the Bhavan on Monday, November 7, 1938. It was the beginning of an 'Adventure in Faith'. A faith in India's Past, Present and Future. The founding of Bhavan was based on the preservation and propagation of Bharatiya Sanskriti (Indian culture) and Sanskrit, the mother of languages, the Akshaya patra: the inexhaustible reservoir. This unpretentious endeavour was backed by Kulapati Munshi's amazing pragmatism.
Bhavans was established with a vision to blend the rich heritage and values of ancient India with the dynamic demands of contemporary society.
Founded by Dr. K.M. Munshi, the institution has consistently strived to develop self-reliant and responsible citizens. Over the years, Bhavans has expanded its educational framework, focusing on a holistic approach that incorporates cultural learnings, arts, and modern educational techniques, ensuring a comprehensive teaching and learning experience.
Our approach uniquely integrates heritage and contemporary education to foster holistic student development.
Bhavan's Faith
The Bhavan stands for the reintegration of Indian culture. In a world falling to pieces under the impact of an amoral technological avalanche, it tries to hold fast to the fundamental values for which our culture stands
– RITA, SATYA, YAGNA and TAPAS
FAITH in God who informs the Cosmic Order;
TRUTH which is accord between mind and word and deed;
DEDICATION which offers all moments of life as an offering to God;
SUBLIMATION which purifies the body and mind and transmutes instincts, passions and emotions into things of beauty.
