Chess for students is a strategic board game, originating from ancient India (Chaturanga), played on an 8×8 grid with 16 unique pieces (King, Queen, Rooks, Bishops, Knights, Pawns) per side, aiming to “checkmate” the opponent’s King. It’s an excellent tool for developing crucial skills like problem-solving, planning, focus, patience, critical thinking, and confidence, as students learn to think ahead and analyze situations.
